Please take advantage of this opportunity. On Wednesday, there will be an online catechism class, and we will continue with the topic of biblical anthropology and finish reading the 3rd chapter of the Book of Genesis.
We will begin the Easter Triduum on Maundy Thursday with a Holy Mass in remembrance of the Lord's Supper, followed by a short adoration. Then, until 7:30 PM, there will be an opportunity to receive Holy Communion.
On Good Friday (a day of strict fasting), there will be a Stations of the Cross at 9:00 AM (reservation required). In the afternoon – at the hour of Jesus' death at 3:00 PM – there will be Good Friday services in remembrance of the Lord's Passion (reservation is necessary). During this exceptional time, Holy Communion will also be available outside the services until 4:30 PM.
On Holy Saturday, there will be an opportunity to participate in prayer with readings at 9:00 AM (again, a reservation is required). The church will then be open until 11 AM for private adoration at the Tomb of God. Eucharist will not be served on that day (it can only be given to the dying). This year, the Easter Vigil will not be celebrated in our parish, but I offer you the chance to watch it through the broadcast of Czech Television 3, with an approximate start at 8:05 PM.
On Easter Sunday, we will celebrate 3 Holy Masses in our parish (reservation required) to maximize the opportunity for participation. During the Masses, it will be possible to receive Holy Communion for those who cannot attend the Masses. Traditionally, foods are blessed on that day. At the end of the Holy Mass, a blessing prayer will be said, but for those of you who cannot attend, I attach a blessing prayer to this article, which you can pray in your families.
Finally, one more practical challenge. On Tuesday at 10 AM, a work day will take place at St. Martin’s; we would be grateful for any help around the church, as well as with cleaning in the church. Thank you in advance!
I wish you all a blessed experience of the upcoming week!
