News June 2022

Nearby, the people of Ukraine continue to suffer from the war, which we thought no longer belonged in today's world. The fact that something lasts a long time tends to weaken our attention, because we gradually integrate these realities into our lives and learn to cope with them. On one hand, this is good because we cannot be permanently under stress; on the other hand, it invites us to make decisions not just under the influence of emotions, but after more mature reflection.

In the week of June 5th, we will have an online catechism class on Tuesday at 8:30 PM, where we will begin a new topic: Christology, contemplating the mystery of the Person of Jesus. Thursday's Mass will also mark the conclusion of the Renewal in the Spirit seminar according to Sievers, during which participants will be sent out to service. This will be reflected in the Mass with some ceremonies, so please anticipate that the Mass will be somewhat longer. Preparation for First Holy Communion will take place at the usual time on Friday at the Church of the Holy Family, followed by the Night of Churches in the evening. Both of our churches will be open; you can find the program on the website nockostelu.cz, where you can search for our churches.
