Dear brothers and sisters, we enter a month characterized by the remembrance of the deceased and prayers for them. The month begins with the Feast of All Saints, followed by the Commemoration of All the Faithful Departed.

In our parish, we will celebrate two great patrons – St. Charles Borromeo, patron of the Home of St. Charles, and also St. Martin, patron of our parish. This year, on Sunday, November 10, we will be visited by Bishop Zdenek Wasserbauer.

Next Sunday, the Mass will include a children's sermon. The postponed lecture by Fr. Angelo Scarano on the topic of How to Read Scripture Beneficially, or how to better understand and live from it, will take place on Thursday, November 7, after the Mass at 18:45 in the Church of the Holy Family.

From the first Sunday of Advent, Christmas-themed postcards made by the children of our parish will be sold before and after the Mass in the vestibule of the Church of the Holy Family. The proceeds will be sent to the Papal Mission Works. The price of one postcard is 20 CZK. In our parish, three catechumens are preparing for baptism; those of you who would like to support them with regular prayer until Easter can take a prayer card for them from the back of the church.

Indulgences for the souls in purgatory: On November 1 in the afternoon and on November 2 all day, you can gain plenary indulgences for the souls in purgatory by visiting any church. The usual conditions for obtaining indulgences are the sacrament of reconciliation, Holy Communion, and prayer for the intentions of the pope, and while visiting the church, one should pray the Our Father and the Creed. From November 1 to 8, it is possible to gain indulgences by visiting the cemetery and praying for the deceased, even in spirit.

The Community of Man and Faith is looking for new photographers

The community of Christian photographers Man and Faith is looking for photographers for new challenges. Their task will be to document the life of the Church in and out of churches
and to evangelize through images. We aim for the personal development of photographers, offering training and consultations, exhibiting the best photographs, organizing spiritual renewals, and building new friendships. Your previous experience is not as crucial. It is important to have your own camera and a heart open to service. More information and contacts can be found at www.clovekavira.cz.

I wish you a peaceful November.

Gregory J. Žáček.
