News October 2022

If you want to be inspired to pray the rosary, I am attaching the document Rosarium Virginis Mariae to this article, which may encourage us to this prayer.

In the week of October 2nd we will have parish coffee on Sunday. Last week I forgot to announce it, if you could still bring something for refreshments, I would be grateful. This week, there will exceptionally be no online meeting. On Thursday at 7 PM, there will be a post-synodal meeting at the Club. I look forward to seeing you.

In the week of October 9th there will be a meeting of the parish council on Tuesday at 7 PM at the Club. For this reason, there will be no online meeting this week. On Thursday at 6:45 PM, there will be a lecture by Vojtěch Kodet at the Church of the Holy Family on the topic How to Live by God's Word. Everyone is warmly invited!

In the week of October 16th the Wednesday Mass will be permanently canceled. The reason is my day off; I had to constantly look for a replacement for the Wednesday Mass, and given the regularly low interest, I believe this decision will not be a major inconvenience. This week I will be on spiritual exercises, so there will also be no online meeting this week. On Saturday at 5 PM, there will be the baptism of Tereza Dobiášová at the Church of the Holy Family. The collection next Sunday is dedicated to missions. To this, the national director of missionary works sends a letter, which you can familiarize yourself with in the attachment to this article.

In the week of October 23rd there will be a meeting of the altar servers on Monday at 5 PM at the Church of the Holy Family, and from 5:30 PM there will be confessions for children. On Tuesday, October 25th, there will be an online catechism class, where we will continue with the topic of Christology. The new Martinoviny has been published; you can read it here on the website, and I thank you for its preparation.

In the week of October 30th there will be a Mass at the Church of the Holy Family on Tuesday; we will celebrate the Feast of All Saints. At 8:30 PM, there will be an online biblical hour. On Wednesday, we will remember our deceased. The Mass will be at the cemetery of the sisters at 6 PM. On Thursday at 7 PM, there will be a post-synodal meeting. It will probably take place in the Church of the Holy Family, as the Club will be occupied at that time. The collection next Sunday is intended for charitable activities in the diocese. The Mass next Sunday at 9:00 AM will be celebrated by Bishop Václav Malý. After the Mass, there will be parish coffee, which the bishop has promised to attend. I also ask for refreshments to be brought. Thank you in advance.

The indulgences that are usually possible to obtain during the All Souls' week from November 1 to 8, associated with a visit to the cemetery, can this year, just like in previous years (and until 2026), also be obtained in the week before All Souls' Day, from October 25 to October 31. Conditions:
Inability to visit the cemetery in the ordinary week of prayers for the deceased from November 1 to 8;
on the given day
- visit to the cemetery,
- prayer for the deceased,
- prayer for the intention of the Holy Father,
- exclusion of any delight in sin,
- Holy Communion;
and within these days, the sacrament of reconciliation.

I wish you blessed and peaceful autumn days.

Řehoř J. Žáček.
